OVERVIEW
Gypsum cove and reveal work for an apartment-building lobby — crisp lines and concealed lighting that make a transitional space feel considered and calm.
THE CHALLENGE
Lobbies are seen for seconds but set the tone for the whole building. This one was tall, narrow, and prone to looking like a corridor.
OUR APPROACH
We used a deep perimeter cove to wash the walls with indirect light, broke the length with a series of reveals, and levelled the substructure carefully so the long gypsum lines wouldn't telegraph cracks.
THE RESULT
A lobby that reads as an arrival, not a hallway — softly lit and crisply detailed. Completed in six months.
