Decorative wall finishes for a family majlis — hand-applied lime and textured finishes that nod to traditional craft while staying calm enough for a modern room.
THE CHALLENGE
The brief asked for warmth and heritage without tipping into pastiche — a majlis that feels rooted but contemporary.
OUR APPROACH
We sampled hand-applied lime and mineral finishes in the actual room and light, choosing a warm, tactile texture for the main walls and reserving a subtle patterned wallpaper for the seating recess.
THE RESULT
A majlis with depth and warmth you want to touch, finished by hand and built to age gracefully. Completed in four months.
