Mosaic and natural-stone work for a hammam — floors, walls, and a domed alcove detailed to handle constant heat and water while keeping a hand-crafted richness.
A hammam is the harshest environment a finish can face — constant heat, steam, and water — and mosaic there has to be both beautiful and bulletproof.
We waterproofed and tanked every surface before tiling, used heat- and water-stable stone and glass mosaic, and sealed the natural stone before grouting. Falls and drainage were planned so water always finds its way out.
THE RESULT
A hammam that holds its craft and its waterproofing through relentless use. Completed in six months.
