14 months
A 1,200 m² family villa in northern Riyadh, conceived as a sequence of calm, light-filled volumes. Natural stone, warm timber, and a restrained palette let the architecture — and the family's life inside it — take centre stage.
The site takes harsh, high-contrast desert light for most of the day. The brief asked for openness and generous glazing without the glare, heat gain, and washed-out interiors that usually come with it.
We layered the light and the materials rather than fighting the sun. Deep reveals, screening, and a tuned mix of matte stone and warm oak soften the daylight, while a dedicated landscape-lighting plan carries the interior mood out into the garden after dark.
THE RESULT
A home that feels serene at noon and intimate at night. Delivered in 14 months across interior architecture, bespoke furniture, gypsum detailing, and the full landscape-lighting scheme.
